Heel Tension System keeps the heel where it should be, the soft nubuck cuff makes for a more forgiving ankle flex, and C1 crampon compatibility means this boot earns its place in your kit through winter as well as summer.The SL Activ is a serious boot and asks to be sized seriously - try with a winter-weight sock if that's how you'll wear them, leave a thumb's width at the toe, and bear in mind that with a Heel Tension System a properly fitted SL will feel firmly held rather than loose.
