The rubber seals around the 5 cable holes allow cables to fit securely into the waterproof box, keeping electrical equipment safe and dry. 4. WEATHERPROOF The IP54 waterproof rating ensures that indoor and outdoor cables are protected from water, snow, rain, dirt, etc. (Note: It is ONLY waterresistant, NOT waterproof, and should not be used underwater.)
