This Cicerone walking guidebook describes 30 circular walks in the Pentland Hills that are easily accessible from Edinburgh and home to peaks such as Scald Law and Carnethy Hill. The Pentland Hills are a range of low summits which extend south of Edinburgh to Biggar in South Lanarkshire. The walking routes in this guidebook range from 2 to 17 miles long and are suitable for walkers of all abilities. For each walk there is a step-by-step route description, accompanied by OS mapping at a scale of 1:50,000.
