To protect the sternum, the sternum pad is made of HD foam reinforced by a composite layer. Molded high-density foam shoulder caps and shoulder cap extensions protect the shoulders; with large, carbon-reinforced HD foam floats to protect collarbones and maximize coverage.New, for added durability, the arm floats are stitched up to the arms; with molded plastic arm caps, implemented for wrap-around cover. The SLR4 Pro Carbon Chest & Arm Protector offers enhanced protection for the biceps and forearm through reinforced padding that extends behind and on the side of the biceps. To ensure that the SLR4 Pro Carbon Chest & Arm Protector stays in place and is comfortable, Vaughn has added a lightweight, breathable mesh fabric to the arms. The highly adjustable chest protector features a double back strap system and new, floating elbow pads. For goalkeepers who prefer to wear suspenders, a small suspender band has been attached to each arm guard. To further enhance the fit, each forearm tapers to an adjustable wrist strap.
