This USB to chassis fan power cable is designed to power a notebook cooling pad or other chassis fans from a USB power source. End connectors: one end is a computer USB connection and the other end is a twowire 4pin chassis fan connector. Important power note: the chassis fan must be a 5V low voltage startup type. USB 5V power can generally run it; in this setup, an adapter cable can be used if needed. Otherwise, even with a good line, the fan may not start. Cable length and construction: approximately 30 cm (11.8 inches) in length. All copper wire. Function and compatibility: provides USB power to a 4pin chassis fan connector for easy operation from laptops, desktops, or USB power sources. Use scenarios: Power a notebook cooling pad fan from a laptop or USB power bank when on the go. Test or operate a small 4pin chassis fan in a compact enclosure or mini PC setup using USB power.
