It describes routes up the peaks of Scafell Pike (the highest mountain in the Lake District), Helvellyn, Skiddaw, Bowfell, Great Gable and Blencathra, many of which are over 900m high (nearly 3000 feet). For each route there are clear and easy-to-follow route directions compiled from the author's 40 years' experience of Lakeland walking, along with OS mapping at a scale of 1:25,000.
