Tamahagane Sharpening Stone 2000 High-quality Japanese waterstone, ideal for sharpening home kitchen knives. Medium grit (2000) is used for regular sharpening of the knife, unless the blade is seriously damaged or completely blunt. Dimensions - 181 x 61 x 20 mm Gradation - 2000 Stand included - yes Weight - 540 g Made in Japan Directions for use 1. Soak the stone in water for 10-15 minutes. 2. Hold the knife so that the blade touches the whetstone at an angle of 10-15 degrees. Then, pressing the blade lightly, move it along the stone, pushing the knife away from you and towards you with uniform movements, all the time maintaining a constant angle of inclination. 3. Repeat on both sides of the blade until the entire edge is sharp and there are no burrs anywhere. 4. Wet powder is released during sharpening. Do not wipe or rinse it, just continue with the action you have taken. The powder looks unsightly, but it is this residue that sharpens the edge. 5. After sharpening, rinse the stone in water and store it dry.
