Description

Celnat's Split Pea Flakes make it possible to considerably reduce the cooking time of this legume without altering its flavor or texture. It is the pea in dry pea version. It separates in 2 at the husking, hence its name. The term peas appeared in the French language in the 12th century. It is recommended to take 4 tsp. to s. per person and cook for 10 minutes in 200 ml of boiling water. Let swell off the heat for 2 minutes. Otherwise, directly incorporate your flakes into your salty or sweet recipe preparations such as gratins, soups, vegetable patties, donuts, cakes, cookies, breads. Split Pea Mash, 1 volume of flakes for 2.5 volumes of salt water. Bring the water to a boil and add the flakes, a sprig of thyme or savory.
