Lamberts Siberian Ginseng is used to combat stress and fatigue, but it is more common to use it as a preventive agent rather than as a product for the recovery of these states. Unlike Panax ginseng, Siberian ginseng does not contain ginsenosides and is therefore considered a "milder" preparation. The key components of Siberian ginseng are a broad group of active compounds called eleutherosides. Seven major eleutherosides have been identified, with most studies focusing on eleutherosides B and E, which play a key role in immune function. These substances are often used as markers during the standardisation process. At Lamberts we are in favour of standardised extracts, as the extraction and concentration procedures ensure that the plant product is much more potent than products based on the whole powdered plant, where nothing is done to concentrate the active compounds.
