The upper combines leather with TPU reinforcements and mesh for lightweight performance and abrasion protection. The mesh lining provides good ventilation, but the lack of a membrane means the shoes are not waterproof—an important consideration in wet conditions.An EVA midsole absorbs shock, and a 4mm Ortholite Hybrid Approach insole adds comfort. The Vibram MegaGrip outsole with Impact Brake System technology provides a secure grip on both ascents and descents. The Climbing Zone at the toe allows for precise footing on rocks. The Resole Platform™ allows for replaceable soles, extending the life of the shoes and reducing the need to replace the entire model. Half a pair weighs approximately 405g, offering a good balance between durability and comfort.
