Sen de El Naturalista, a very beneficial plant for constipation cases, situations in which an intestinal emptying is required (radiographic studies, operations, etc.). This plant benefits thanks to its pharmacological action. Anthracene derivatives give it a lax-purging action, depending on the dose used. Most of the heterosides, go directly to the colon where, by the action of the enzymes of the bacterial flora, they release the aglycones, producing an irritation of the nerve endings of the intestinal wall, determining a secretion of water and an increase in peristalsis intestinal. It is indicated for constipation, situations in which an intestinal emptying is required, radiographic studies, operations, etc. It is recommended to boil 1 minute and then let stand 10 minutes. Its intake is valuable, depending on whether you want to achieve a laxative or purifying effect. It is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, as sennosides pass through breast milk, gastrointestinal inflammatory conditions, and menstruation.
