Selenium 200mcg 90 tablets of Now is a food supplement basically made up of Selenium, an essential trace element that works as part of the antioxidant enzyme peroxidase of glutathione. It is bound to the essential amino acid sulfur, methionine, in a naturally occurring form. Selenium is most abundantly found in Brazil nuts, organ meats, shellfish, and wheat germ. Selenium can reduce the risk of certain types of neplasias. Some scientific evidence suggests that consuming selenium may reduce the risk of certain types of malignancy. However, the FDA has determined that this evidence is limited and inconclusive. It is recommended to take 1 capsule daily with a meal. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of young children.
