Description

Product defined as "the gold of the city of towers", enormous wealth of the San Gimignano area. Italian PDO product, it is recognized as a highly prized saffron. This product gives the preparations its characteristic lively and pungent aroma, pleasantly bitter. San Gimignano PDO saffron is a small herbaceous plant belonging to the Iridaceae family. The part used is constituted by the stigmas, from which the precious powder used in the kitchen is obtained. It is believed that this precious seedling is also one of the foods richest in carotenoid substances such as lycopene and zeaxanthin. It is recommended to use in sweet and savory recipes and in drinks, just put 3 stigmas per serving in a cup of warm water, let it rest for 10 minutes and then add the liquid obtained to the dish you want to eat Store at room temperature. Duration 6 months.
