Description

Artfully designed Viking signet ring made of 925 sterling silver. The ring is decorated with a Wotan knot, a rune circle, as well as midgard snakes. Width front: approx. 18 mm. Width back: approx. 6 mm. Weight: approx. 8 g. The finger ring is partially oxidized so that the design is optimally accentuated. Meaning of the symbols: The Wotan knot (Valknut) consists of three intertwined triangles and stands for the power of Wotan / Odin. The runes represent the 24 signs of the so-called older Futhark. This runic alphabet was used by the Germanic tribes until the 8th century. According to Norse mythology, the sea serpent Jörmungandr spanned the human world of Midgard. Thor met the immense serpent three times and finally killed it with his hammer Mjölnir.
