Product description: Ratron® Poison Wheat is a fast-acting, ready-to-use wheat bait containing the active ingredient zinc phosphide (25 g/kg) for controlling field mice, voles, and bank voles. Ratron® Poison Wheat is particularly moisture-resistant and non-germinating. An innovative formulation technology prevents the active ingredient from outgassing before bait ingestion, even due to soil moisture. This significantly reduces mouse shyness and provides additional protection for the user. The bait remains fully effective and attractive until ingested by the mice. The bait only becomes active after ingestion when exposed to stomach acid. In the mice's stomach, the active ingredient zinc phosphide reacts with stomach acid to produce phosphine (hydrogen phosphorus). Phosphine is a very potent metabolic and neurotoxin that kills mice within 1 to approximately 3 hours. The active ingredient is completely broken down and therefore cannot cause secondary poisoning. Instructions for use: Ratron® Poison Wheat is approved for use in arable farming, fruit growing, vegetable and ornamental plant cultivation (in open fields as well as greenhouses), viticulture, and grassland (meadows and pastures as well as airport grounds) (BVL, official registration number: 034041-00/00). To control field voles, common voles, and bank voles, scatter 5 grains of Ratron® Poison Wheat into each vole hole. For moderate infestations, the dosage corresponds to an application rate of approximately 1-2 kg/ha. Using a poison gun for the concealed application of Ratron® Poison Wheat into the vole holes significantly reduces the time required compared to other methods. When used correctly according to the instructions, the user does not come into contact with the bait. To ensure optimal effectiveness of Ratron® Poison Wheat, it should remain dry for 3-4 days after application. Please note that open display is prohibited. This means that Ratron® Poisoned Wheat, like any other poisoned wheat product, must not be scattered over the ground but only applied covertly (underground). Application period: year-round.
