Probiotic Lactase Neo, with lactase and probiotics that help digest lactose without discomfort. Lactase is the enzyme that breaks down lactose during the digestive process. Lactose intolerance (IL) is the inability to digest lactose, which is the sugar in milk and other dairy products, without discomfort. Lactose is a disaccharide made up of a particle of galactose and another of glucose (milk is made up of approximately 5% lactose). If the intolerance is not extreme, the diet can be supplemented with Lactase, which must be taken immediately before eating or drinking the problem food (for example, to take a 250 ml glass of milk without discomfort, we would need to ingest 4500 beforehand.
