Aromasensia Peppermint Essential Oil is ideal for travel thanks to its stimulating action. Its refreshing action on the skin makes it ideal for treating sweaty feet and for athletes. Peppermint Essential Oil should be diluted either in bath water, in body oils, massage oils, or vaporized in oil burners. We recommend always using diluted essential oils. For Massage (Dilution in 100 ml of Carrier Oil) 1% dilution (mild, for sensitive skin) → 20 drops (1 ml) of essential oil 2% dilution (standard for adults) → 40 drops (2 ml) of essential oil 3% dilution (strong) → 60 drops (3 ml) of essential oil General rule: Use a 1-2% dilution for full body massage and up to 3% for specific areas. For Diffusers: 100 ml of water in a diffuser → 3-5 drops of essential oil More intense aroma → 6-10 drops, but avoid excessive use to avoid saturating the environment Essential oils are not recommended for internal use, particularly undiluted, unless under professional supervision. Some oils are for external use only. A doctor should be consulted before using pure essential oils on pregnant women and children under three years of age. It is recommended that essential oils used on the skin be either diluted in a well-penetrating vegetable oil (i.e. almond, grape seed, rice germ, avocado, etc.) or added to bath water. They can be used either singly or in combination, but the concentration should never exceed 5%. Certain oils may cause skin irritation and/or sensitization, and should be used in lower dilutions (1-2%). Some oils should be used with greater caution. Certain essential oils, and particularly citrus oils, react with sunlight. It is therefore recommended to use them at night (with the exception of their use in shampoos and soaps). In case of accidental ingestion of excessive amounts or oils used externally, do not induce vomiting. Drink half a litre of water and seek medical advice. Avoid contact of essential oils near the eyes or mucous membranes. If this occurs, wash with plenty of water. If the discomfort persists after 10 minutes, seek medical advice. Keep out of the reach of children. Keep essential oils in a cool, dry place.
