Traditionally, the following properties are attributed to peppermint hydrolate: activator of the lymphatic and venous system, harmonizes the pancreas, liver and spleen, refreshing, digestive, antispasmodic, analgesic. Hydrolates contain all the water-soluble substances of the distilled part and also contain the trace elements that appear in the plant of origin. Appearance: clear, colourless, without lumps or filaments. The pH is 4.5 to 5.5. It contains a slight percentage of menthol and menthone (less than 3%). Due to these almost homeopathic concentrations, it is a preferred option in paediatrics, pregnancy and breastfeeding in the world of therapy. Recommended for oral use: Cooking is one of the uses for hydrosol. It can be added to stews, keeping in mind that above 150°C, the hydrosol's properties will be lost.
