Artfully designed combination of Celtic cross and Claddagh symbol made of 925 sterling silver. The pendant is partially blackened on the front, the back is smoothly polished. Dimensions: approx. 46 mm high x approx. 27 mm wide Internal dimensions of the eyelet: approx. 5.4 mm high x approx. 4.5 mm wide Weight: approx.5 g The pendant comes with a black cotton strap. Background: The Claddagh sign is a traditional Irish love, friendship and wedding symbol. The heart stands for love, the hands for friendship, the crown for loyalty. The Celtic cross, also called high cross or wheel cross, is part of the medieval Celtic art of Great Britain, Ireland and France. Characteristic of this cross shape is the ring, which lies around the intersection of the beams. Most of the crosses were carved from stone and decorated with knot patterns of various kinds.
