Description

Large, heavy bronze Iron Cross. The pendant can be worn on both sides: on one side is the motif "1914", on the other "1813". The chain pendant is plastic on both sides and partially blackened, so that the design comes into its own. Dimensions: approx. 44 mm high x approx. 39 mm wide x approx. 3.5 mm thick <br><>In diameter of the eyelet: approx. 5.2 mm weight: approx.16 g The jewellery pendant is supplied with a black cotton ribbon. Background: The Iron Cross was awarded as a war decoration in 1813 by the Prussian King Frederick William III. In 1914, Kaiser Wilhelm II renewed the Order's foundation. Today, the EK can be seen as the emblem of the Bundeswehr on all vehicles of the German military.
