Artfully designed chain pendant "Helmet of Awe" made of bronze. The pendant is partially blackened, so that the design comes into its own. The symbol is surrounded by a rune ring. Importance of symbols: The "Helmet of Awe" is also known as the "Helmet of Horror". The symbol originally comes from Iceland and is called in the Icelandic original "Aegishjalmur" beziehungseise "Aegishjalmr". The sign was intended to protect warriors in battle and intimidate enemies. Nowadays, Aegishjalmur is very popular as a protective tattoo. The runes represent the 24 signs of the so-called older Futhark. This is the runic alphabet used by the Germanic tribes until the 8th century.
