The Opti-Epa Enteric Coating from Douglas Laboratories is a fish oil concentrate that provides high levels of omega3 EPA (330 mg EPA) and DHA (170 mg DHA) through its pearl. It has an enteric coating (Nutrateric® and Surelease®) that eliminates the fishy flavor sometimes associated with the consumption of this type of supplement. The benefits of omega-3 fatty acids continue to increase, and numerous health organizations around the world recommend increasing your intake. EPA and DHA provide support in the normal function of the heart. Its beneficial effects are obtained with a daily consumption of 250 mg of EPA and DHA. DHA is essential for visual and brain development, and is vital throughout pregnancy to boost fetal brain growth and the formation of the retina and visual cortex.
