The preparation contains niacin (vitamin from group B) in the form of inositol hexanicotinate, which minimizes temporary redness that may occur when using niacin preparations in the form of e.g. nicotinic acid.Niacin (vitamin B-3) is an essential B vitamin. No-rinse niacin contains inositol hexanicotinate, a form of niacin that consists of six niacin molecules connected to a single inositol molecule. It slowly breaks down in the body, producing free niacin and inositol. This gradual release of niacin allows for true niacin activity without the characteristic niacin flush that many people cannot tolerate.
