Important: Be sure to use vinegar in the attractant solution, as this prevents beneficial insects, such as bees, from being attracted. Now press the cap onto the bottle neck. You can now hang or place the bottle. We recommend a PET bottle if you want to hang the trap. Then, hang the trap with a cord (not included) at a height of 1.5 to 2 meters in trees or near plants. Caution: Avoid placing the bottle near windows, doors, etc., through which wasps can enter the home. Good to know: The bottle cannot fill with water while it rains, thus minimizing the risk of reduced effectiveness of the attractant. How does the WaspStop work? A homemade attractant solution lures wasps (German and common wasps) into the bottle, and thanks to the attachment, they cannot escape. Recipe for attractant solution: Use sodas or fruit juices (e.g., apple juice), which are particularly attractive to wasps. You will also need a small amount of apple cider vinegar, a squirt of dish soap, and an old beverage bottle. Standard 0.5-1 liter glass or PET bottles can be used. When should the attractant be changed? To increase its attractiveness to wasps, you should change the attractant solution weekly. If a lot of liquid has evaporated due to high temperatures, the trap can be opened and refilled at any time. The trap can be easily emptied and cleaned.
