L-Tyrosine AB from Airbiotic provides 500 mg of this amino acid in free form. This means that the body can absorb it immediately without the action of digestive enzymes being necessary. Tyrosine is included within the non-essential amino acids that can be synthesized from phenylalanine. It is an amino acid that is rapidly metabolized in the body and is part of a large number of body substances such as dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine or melanin. It is recommended to take the amino acids with fruit juice or water, instead of milk. Amino acids are better assimilated if taken half an hour before any meal or before bed. L-Tyrosine should not be used in conjunction with MAO inhibitors (a type of antidepressant drug). This product is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women.
