An additional advantage is that when preparing dishes in cast iron cookware, small amounts of iron, an element necessary for our body, are released. This is a definite benefit, especially for people struggling with anemia.The black surface was obtained thanks to a unique process of firing cast iron in vegetable oil at a very high temperature. The surface has been additionally oxidized, which reduces susceptibility to rust. It is recommended to periodically maintain the pot by lubricating the entire surface with a thin layer of cooking oil. Cast iron products are not dishwasher safe.
