Korsteel JP Sweet Iron French Link Eggbutt Snaffle. The JP Sweet Iron French Link Eggbutt Snaffle is a double jointed bit that acts on the tongue and the bars of the mouth. The French Link eliminates the nutcracker and palate action of a single jointed bit and instead applies pressure to the horses tongue. The Eggbutt is ideal for horses who need the support provided by a fixed ring bit. The Sweet Iron encourages the horse to salivate and accept the bit. The JP Sweet Iron French Link Eggbutt Snaffle was developed by Australian Horse trainer John Patterson with a curved mouthpiece which sits more comfortably in the horses mouth. The curved action also allows more room for the horses tongue.
