When the relay coil is energized because the flame exceeds the set threshold, the common terminal connects to the normally open terminal. When the flame is below the threshold and the relay is not energized, the common terminal connects to the normally closed terminal. Installation and usage tips The sensor is sensitive to flames and also responds to sunlight and other strong light sources. Avoid direct sunlight on the sensor or install a shield to reduce false triggers. Adjust sensitivity with the digital potentiometer to set the detection threshold for your application. Maintain a safe distance between the sensor and flame to prevent heat damage. For lightersized flames, test at about 80 cm and increase distance for larger flames. Wire the relay outputs according to your control circuit requirements and respect the relay load limits.
