Hojicha roasted green tea leaves from Terrasana is a preparation for infusion based on a variety of thick green tea. The tea leaves are roasted over low heat in a drum oven according to the Japanese tradition. This makes the flavor round, earthy and slightly smoky. Hojicha is a fairly thick variety of green tea. The rounded, earthy, slightly smoky flavor of hojicha develops when the tea leaves are roasted over low heat in drum ovens immediately after picking. To make your hojicha a little more refreshing, it's delicious to add a slice of lemon or orange to slightly cooled tea. If you prefer a sweeter tea, use a little maple syrup. It is recommended to use 1 teaspoon of hojicha for 250 ml of water. Make hojicha the traditional Japanese way: heat a cup of tea with hot water. Place the hojicha in a tea strainer in a teapot and pour water at about 85°C - 90°C. Infuse for 1-2 minutes. If you pour in two teaspoons, let the tea infuse for another 30 seconds. Store in a cool, dry place. After opening, store hermetically in a dry and dark place at room temperature (maximum 20 ° C).
