The soil moisture sensor is simply stuck into the ground beside the plants, and electronically, durably and reliably measures temperature differences in the earth. You can set the desired moisture level with the rotary knob. The current moisture level can be read. The soil moisture sensor is supplied with 5 m connecting cable. For operation, two 1.5 v alkaline batteries are required (not included). These ensure reliable measurement results for approx. One year. A weak battery level is indicated.
