Madder Centifolia is a powder widely used for the coloring properties of its rhizomes (roots) mixed with henna, to bring beautiful mahogany to bright red reflections to your hair. This powder is pure. Bag with zip closure which allows better conservation of the powder. It is advisable to apply the mixture strand by strand in a thick layer on preferably washed hair. When the hair is well impregnated, wrap everything in a plastic film and leave on. Keep your head warm with a towel. The exposure time is very variable depending on the porosity, the hair color and the desired result (from 1 hour to 12 hours). Then rinse the hair with plenty of clean water until all residue is removed. The final result of the color will only be visible two to three days after application, the time for the color to oxidize. Quantities to be used as an indication: For short hair: from 50 to 100g of powder. For medium-length hair (shoulders): from 150 to 200g of powder. For long hair (mid-back): from 200 to 250g of powder. For very long hair (mid-hips): from 300 to 500g of powder. Do not shampoo within 24 to 48 hours of application to ensure optimum color. Do not apply henna to permed or chemically colored hair for less than 2 months. Protect the areas of your skin at risk of being colored by henna by applying a moisturizer in a thick layer or a vegetable oil (top of the forehead, around the ears). Wear gloves when preparing and applying the mixture so as not to stain your hands. Do not use metal utensils to mix the henna so as not to alter the quality of the powder. Be careful, the material used could remain colored. Test on a lock that is not visible before carrying out all the coloring. Wait 24 hours before seeing the final result. Do not perm or chemically color after natural henna color is less than 2 months old. Store in a cool, dry place away from light.
