Galileo Optical Tremolo Pedal Galileo is a full analogue optical tremolo with versatile controls, tap tempo, and modulation options. The heart of Galileo is an internal analogue oscillator that controls a high-quality photodiode, producing the tremolo effect. The activation and deactivation of this match allow Galileos tremolo to be very natural, without distortion of the input signal. Footswitches: Galileo features two true-bypass footswitches: GO and TAP. GO Footswitch: Activates the tremolo effect, modulating the output signal through the photodiode and oscillator. When GO is on, a blue LED lights up. When GO is off, the input is bypassed directly to the output. TAP Footswitch: Sets the tremolo oscillator period. Pressing TAP triggers the start/stop of the oscillator period. A minimum of two taps are needed to set the desired period, with no upper limits. The maximum oscillator period is 1 second. Knobs: Galileo offers five knobs to fully control the analogue oscillator and the tremolo effect. SPEED: In manual mode (with the SPEED MOD selector in the center position), this knob sets the tremolo speed. The maximum speed is 1 Hz (1 second period). When TAP is active, SPEED controls the oscillator manually, overriding TAP tempo. DEPTH: Controls the amount of tremolo effect. At minimum, there is no effect; at maximum, the tremolo effect is full, and the signal is fully modulated. SMOOTH: Adjusts the intensity of the analogue oscillators effect on the photodiode conduction, controlling the tremolo effects smoothness. ATTACK: Sets the attack of the tremolo, controlling when the photodiode will activate based on the oscillator's signal amplitude. SYM: Controls when the photodiode is turned on or off, adjusting the relationship between the oscillator waveform and the photodiodes conduction. LED Status Indicators: Galileo has dedicated LED indicators to show the pedals status. GO LED (Blue): OFF: The pedal is off, and the input signal is bypassed. ON: The pedal is active, and the output signal is modulated by the tremolo oscillator. TAP LED: Blue: The tremolo oscillator is running in manual mode, and speed is controlled by the SPEED knob. Red: The oscillator is adjusting to the TAP tempo. Green: The oscillator speed matches the TAP tempo. Green + Red: Galileo is performing speed modulation (details below). Selectors: TAP SPEED Selector: Adjusts the oscillator speed relative to the TAP tempo. The three positions are: 1x: The oscillator speed matches the TAP tempo. 2x: The oscillator speed is twice the TAP tempo. 3x: The oscillator speed is three times the TAP tempo. SPEED MOD: Controls tremolo speed modulation: Center Position: No modulation. Speed is controlled manually or via TAP. Left (SHIFT): The oscillator speed alternates between original and double speed. The SPEED knob sets the number of repetitions before changing speed. Right (UP-DOWN): The speed will increase and decrease in a sine wave pattern. The SPEED knob controls how fast this modulation occurs. Additional Features: The SPEED MOD selector should be kept in the center position during manual or TAP speed configurations. Only activate modulation when the TAP LED is blinking green. Galileos compact design fits perfectly on any pedalboard and operates on a standard 9V power supply (external or battery).
