It reigned supreme on our grandmothers' tables – we remember fresh flowers from the garden in a vase decorated with a mill and Christmas compote in compote bowls with this very motif. As children, we were treated to candy from boxes and baskets decorated with a mill, and these enchanted us with their magical, light reflections. Today, a mill looks beautiful paired with a minimalist tableware in natural colors, a linen tablecloth, or napkins, as well as smooth glassware and simple cuts. The dynamic, cheerful cut will brighten any interior and instantly lift our mood. The mill was patented in the USA in 1899, but its origins can be traced to the mid-19th century in Lower Silesia. Its form is best captured by the English name "pinwheel."
