The special starter fertilisation with a complete trace nutrient mix ensures an immediate optimal nutrient supply to the plants that lasts up to 8 weeks. This has been proven to lead to stronger and healthier plants. The soil is balanced with high-quality clay minerals and quartz sand, which together create an ideal environment for bonsai growth and care. The clay minerals ensure an even supply of nutrients, promote typical growth and support the healthy development of the bonsai. The high-quality quartz sand ensures optimum rewettability, water absorption and high stability of the plants. This selected quartz sand improves the water flow in the substrate, minimizes the risk of waterlogging and helps to maintain good stability of the bonsai. The pH value, which is adjusted to the plant's needs, enables the roots to make optimal use of nutrients. Carefully remove the bonsai from the Plant tray and loosen the soil ball well with the help of a wooden stick or root claw.2. Cut back the rootsIn order for the main roots to develop, some incisions are made in the root system. Depending on the type of bonsai, the root system can be cut back by a third or even up to half. This gives the roots enough space to grow again.3. Replant the bonsaiCover the water drainage holes of the planting tray with a fine trellis. If necessary, add an additional drainage layer. For this purpose, we recommend the COMPO BIO GRANUPLANT® drainage and plant granules. Position the bonsai in the pot and fill it with COMPO SANA bonsai soil. If necessary, the bonsai can be additionally aligned and fastened by means of fine wires that run over the root ball and through the water drainage holes.
