Description

Chantenay carrot is a medium-long variety with conical root, slightly rounded tip and sweet flavor. Mid-late cycle. Carrots eaten raw have an important antioxidant power. Its orange color is due to plant pigments called beta-carotenes, which are highly antioxidant. They also have vitamins such as A, B9, C and E. The most interesting minerals in raw carrots are calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, potassium and iodine. It is recommended to be planted in 3-liter pots. Requires a location with direct sun or partial shade. The waterings must be regular. The seeds are usually mixed with sand to make a homogeneous sowing.
