Allows you to prepare salads, desserts, etc. in advance. and reserve in the bowl until mealtime. It also allows you to keep food in the fridge with the lid on. Glass is a neutral, non-porous material (it does not absorb odors or flavours). It is also the safest material that exists from the point of view of toxicity.
