Boldo de Plantis is a medicinal plant that has been used since pre-Columbian times in Chilean folk medicine, and that has spread to the Mediterranean region and North Africa. Used to treat different problems, such as rheumatism, digestive and even liver disorders. Its composition has the following components: Essential oils: the most important essential oils present in boldo are cineol, eucalyptol and roundworms. They are responsible for its characteristic odor and have sedative, expectorant, alogistic and carminative properties (they help eliminate gases). Flavonoids: they are very beneficial for our body because they have the ability to considerably reduce the risk of suffering from some heart conditions. Tannins: present in the boldo bark, they are recognized for their important antioxidant properties. Alkaloids: the most notable alkaloid is boldine with very specific liver and gallbladder properties. It is recommended to use in infusions. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of young children.
