BNO080 BNO085 BNO086 VR IMU Sensor 9DOF AHRS Module with Accuracy Quaternion Tracking

Designed for Androidbased phones to handle all calculations required for virtual reality goggles using only the phone. The sensor provides powerful processing capabilities, with a library available that is Androidbased and offers rotation vectors (readable from IMUs), as well as acceleration, gyroscope and magnetometer readings, step counts, activity sorters (such as cycling), and calibration. The VR IMU uses the BNO080 IMU. The IC includes a threeaxis accelerometer/gyroscope/magnetometer combination that runs alongside the ARM M0+ to execute powerful algorithms. The BNO080 Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) generates accurate rotation vector headings, ideal for VR and other heading applications, with a static rotation error of 2 degrees or less. The VR IMU has created a demo processing application to illustrate how the motion of the IMU can accurately manipulate 3D objects using the quaternion output of the IMU. Use scenarios Ondevice VR experiences: enable VR goggles on Android phones without external sensors, relying on onboard calculations for orientation and movement. Orientation and navigation in VR apps: accurate rotation vector headings and quaternion output support precise heading and pose tracking in immersive applications. Motiondriven 3D interaction: validate and demonstrate realtime manipulation of 3D objects in demos or games using the IMU's quaternion data, with complementary sensor readings for calibration and activity monitoring (step counts, cycling, etc.).
