Crispy white satin in 100% Certified Egyptian cotton with a thread density of 400 tc creates a silk matte and pliable surface. Cotton satin is temperature-regulating, which gives a cool and comfortable feeling against the skin. Fairtrade means trade on better terms and opportunities for producers in leather with widespread poverty to invest in business and local community for a more sustainable future. Global Organic Textile Standard is an international label that encompasses both social and environmental requirements. GOTS aims to make it easier for you to choose textile products where a holistic perspective has been taken with regard to both the environment and social responsibility. The textile is tested by the OEKO-TEX Association so that it is not dangerous to skin and health. Ecolabel is an EU label with equivalent environmental requirements as the Nordic Swan. Cotton Egypt Association is a guarantor that the cotton comes from certified farms in Egypt (over 80% of all "Egyptian cotton" sold in the world is regular cotton). The products have been approved by the control organization TÜV based on strict health and environmental requirements. What does Beckasin's premium quality mean? Premium bedding from Beckasin is made from our very best – most finely combed and long-fibre Egyptian cotton. The products are covered by our "sleep-well guarantee", which means that you get your money back if you are not satisfied and sleep well in our bedding within 14 days. There are many reasons why cotton is the most popular textile of our time; It is soft, versatile, durable and relatively affordable. The quality of cotton is primarily determined by the length of the fibers, that is, the length of the individual fibers of which the fabric consists. Textiles made from long cotton fibers are generally of higher quality than fabrics made of short fibers. What is the difference between Egyptian cotton and cotton? Our Egyptian cotton bed textiles are made from cotton grown in Egypt and are certified by the Cotton Egypt Association. It may sound like a given, but the truth is that it has been concluded that over 80% of all textiles sold as "Egyptian Cotton" are in fact ordinary cotton that comes from other parts of the world. Therefore, you should choose Certified Egyptian Cotton: Sustainability: Longer fibers can be spun into a finer thread. Fine thread, in turn, gives denser weave, resulting in a strong and durable fabric. Softness: Another advantage of long fibers is that they turn into a much softer thread. Short fibers are harder to spin into wire without fiber ends sticking out at all angles. Longer cotton fibers can be kept closely bonded, preventing them from going in different directions. Breathability: One reason why some fabrics "breathe" worse than others is because they contain small air pockets between the individual threads that create thermal insulation. Cotton made of long, finely spun fibers can be woven very tightly. It eliminates air pockets and one can thereby avoid the uncomfortable, sweaty feeling we tend to associate with low breathability.
