Branched-chain amino acids, also known as BCAAs, are three: leucine, isoleucine, and valine. These are essential amino acids that the body cannot synthesize on its own, making it necessary to incorporate them into our diet. Amino acids are the essential building blocks of proteins, which later become part of muscles, cartilage, and are even essential for the immune system. In certain situations, such as intense exercise, the body breaks down the amino acids that make up muscle proteins. For this reason, and in this situation, the consumption of branched-chain amino acids is beneficial. Following the recommendations of the latest published studies, a ratio of 8:1:1 BCAAs (L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine, respectively) was included, with a higher amount of L-Leucine than the traditionally used ratio of 2:1:1. The formula is reinforced with L-Glutamine. It is recommended for strength training: Consume 10 grams (2 level scoops) once the effort is completed. For endurance training: Consume 10 grams (2 scoops) divided into two doses: 5 grams 30 minutes before training and 5 grams after training. One level scoop corresponds to 5 g.
