Mednat's B Methyl is a dietary supplement consisting of a B-group vitamin complex. Made with its 8 basic vitamins, including the active forms of: Vitamin B6 in the form of Pyridoxal-5-phosphate; Vitamin B9 in the form of L-methyltetrahydrofolat; Vitamin B12 in the form of Methylcobalamin. *The packaging received may be slightly different from the image on the product sheet. This product contains the active forms of the B complex that are identical to those used by the body. It is advisable to use a complex containing all eight B vitamins, primarily the active forms (cofactors) in balanced doses, along with other nutrients to achieve perfect vitamin balance. Thiamine (B1) : generally acts as a cofactor in decarboxylation reactions or in the synthesis of acetolactate, a precursor of valine and leucine. Riboflavin (B2) : is a precursor of the cofactors riboflavin-5′-phosphate or flavin mononucleotide (FMN) and flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) that are involved in cellular energy metabolism and the metabolism of proteins, fatty acids and carbohydrates. Nicotinamide (B3) : NAD+ and NADP+ are coenzymes in a wide variety of reduction and oxidation enzymatic reactions, especially glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, and the electron transport chain. Calcium dipantothenate (B5) : plays an essential role in cellular metabolism and, once converted to coenzyme A (CoA), helps in the production of energy from carbohydrates, fatty acids and proteins. Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (B6) : It is involved in the metabolism of proteins, fatty acids, and carbohydrates. Its deficiency can lead to hyperhomocysteinemia. Betaine chloride : Treatment with betaine combined with L-Methyltetrahydrofolate normalized fasting plasma homocysteine concentrations in patients with severe hyperhomocysteinemia. Biotin (B8) : It is a coenzyme for multiple carboxylase enzymes, which are involved in carbohydrate digestion, fatty acid synthesis, and gluconeogenesis. It is also necessary for the catabolism and utilization of the three branched-chain amino acids: leucine, isoleucine, and valine. L-Methyltetrahydrofolate (B9) : acts as a cofactor at the cellular level for DNA reproduction, the cysteine cycle and the regulation of homocysteine, among other functions. It is essential for the preservation of the myelin sheath around neurons and for the synthesis of neurotransmitters. Methylcobalamin (B12) : is essential for the brain and nervous system. Phosphatidylcholine : is the precursor molecule of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that is involved in many functions, including memory and muscle control.
