Description

1. DDS Signal Generator Module Development Board - The board can output 2 sine waves and 2 square waves. Frequency range is 0-40 MHz for the AD9850 version and 0-70 MHz for the AD9851 version. Note that harmonics increase and waveform cleanliness decreases after about 20-30 MHz. Square wave output is available up to 1 MHz. - Improved signal integrity with a 70 MHz low pass filter, enhancing signal-to-noise ratio for the waveform. 2. Adjustable Amplitude - An amplitude adjust pin is provided for convenient output level control. The comparator reference input voltage is generated by a variable resistor, allowing different duty cycles for square waves. 3. Stable Oscillator - The AD9850 module uses a 125 MHz active oscillator, while the AD9851 module uses a 30 MHz active oscillator, delivering stable and reliable performance. 4. Applications and practicality - RF test bench and bench calibration: generate clean sine and square waves for front-end testing, LO alignment, or analyzer calibration. - DDS education and development: demonstrate DDS concepts, waveform synthesis, and duty-cycle control in teaching or prototyping. - Microcontroller/FPGA prototyping: substitute or supplement DAC/ PWM signals with stable sine and square wave sources for signal conditioning or timing experiments.
