Safety Warnings: Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a primary systemic L-carnitine deficiency or secondary L-carnitine deficiency (inborn errors in metabolism) for which levocarnitine supplementation is prescribed and/or monitored by a healthcare practitioner. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have liver or kidney disease, if you have had a seizure, if you have hypothyroidism, or if you take blood thinners. Agitation, nausea, headache and vomiting have been known to occur, in which case discontinue use. Mild gastrointestinal symptoms (abdominal cramps and diarrhea) have been reported. Feelings of sleeplessness or overstimulation may occur, discontinue use if feelings persist or worsen. Low incidences of seizures have been reported with oral doses in individuals with or without pre-existing seizure disorders.
