Compatibility and usage note This controller is intended for lead acid battery types only: OPEN, AGM, and GEL. It is not suitable for nickel metal hydride, lithiumion, or other battery chemistries. The controller is designed to be charged only by photovoltaic panels. Do not connect DC power sources other than solar panels for charging. The LCD may display a reading variance of approximately 0.2 to 0.3 volts; this is normal. Battery capacity will decline with age and repeated cycles; older batteries may show reduced performance over time. PV system power guidance (general mapping) For 12V systems, a 30A controller is suitable for approximately 300W of solar array. For 24V systems, a 30A controller is suitable for approximately 600W of solar array. The controller is available in other current ratings from 10A up to 100A for different system sizes.
