PA66, also called nylon polyamide 66, is a tough engineering plastic with useful wear resistance and good low-friction behaviour for nut fitting in light assemblies. This size is suited to short M5 studs, compact threaded spacers and small assemblies where nuts need a little more contact than M4 where a lighter non-metal rod is preferred. Nylon can absorb some moisture, so check thread fit and dimensional tolerance in damp or changing environments. Cut with suitable tools, avoid over-tightening the plastic thread and confirm material suitability before final use.
