Do not discard the wrapped bridge. Install it upright in the middle of the two F holes before tuning. If bow hair arrives loose, use the screw at the frog to tighten until the hair has appropriate tension. If some bow hair is broken, trim the broken portion; the bow can still be used. Avoid over tightening. Ideal bow tension allows the hair to sit about one quarter inch away from the lowest point of the stick curve when on the strings. To apply rosin: hold the rosin between index finger and thumb and move it evenly up and down the bow hair to improve grip and sound.
