Spaghetele de la Mar de Algamar sunt bogate în fibre, au un conținut excepțional de fier și o aromă care amintește de sepie. Formele sale alungite și înguste dau numele acestei alge brune exuberant, foarte gustoase și comune pe coastele adânci cu ape agitate. Atât crude, cât și gătite, datorită texturii și aromei sale, este una dintre algele marine cu cea mai mare personalitate și cel mai de succes dintre soiurile atlantice.
